Denise JaworskyDenise is an activist and an athlete with a commitment to social justice. She joined Children's AIDS Health Program in late 2006 and is a member of the Public Realtions team. Her work involves forging partnerships with other HIV and AIDS mandated organizations and developing an advocacy campaign for pediatric HIV treatment.

She graduated from McGill University in 2005 after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science with a major in Microbiology and Immunology and a minor in Social Studies of Medicine. While studying at McGill, she became involved in HIV and AIDS issues as a volunteer for AIDS Community Care Montreal. For an independent reading course in 4th year, she studied the impact of gender inequity on HIV vulnerability and subsequently became passionate about the issues realting to women and HIV.

She currently works as a research assistant at the Canadian Immunodeficiency Research Collaborative and volunteers at the AIDS Committee of Toronto and the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research. She has a passion for human rights and global health, with a particular focus in HIC and would like to pursue a career in international health and medicine.
