Sahsa Smith

Sasha Smith is a world citizen with passion for music, art, and culture. She recently became involved with Children's AIDS Health Program as a volunteer for this year's India Mission 2007.
Having graduated with honors from Kitsilano Secondary, Sasha is now a first year Global Stewardship Student at Capilano College in Vancouver, BC. She is also founder of her high school's Global Issues Society, and an active volunteer with Canadian Red Cross and Oxfam, Canada.
Sasha has coordinated several humanitarian events including a night of action for Darfur, a landmine removal benefit, and a week of AIDS awareness. She has also faciltated several workshops for youth including two on the topic of HIV/AIDS. Along with social justice activities, Sasha is passionate about music and will participate in fund-raising for this year's India Mission with the help of local Vancouver musicians.
After Global Stewardship, Sasha plans on continuing her work with NGOs and hopes to one day use the arts of music and photography in raising awareness to humanitarian causes.
